C Q Hunt :

A platform for those of  you who are creatively inclined.

The event ‘C Q Hunt’ 2008  is organized by the students of National Institute for Media Studies.

This contest aims to develop and raise the visibility of creative talent in the form of a competition and to create a plat form for the students to show their skills and bring out their laden talents.

Event in brief :

C Q HUNT – (Creative Quotient Hunt)

The 2008 contest has four separate categories with themes. In this call for Entries, submissions may interpret these themes broadly:

1) Photography Contest :
Theme : “Life’s like that…”  Description: Depicting roadside fun life of youngsters

2) Essay Contest :
Theme : “Dreams in my life …..” : Descriptions: Write on your experiences and your dreams for your futures

3) Slogan Contest :
    “ I am therefore I am ______________________________________________

     ___________________________________I am therefore I am”  : Description :

4)  Art Contest
Theme : “Castle in the air…” Description : An Art Painting or a collage making Contest

Our member professionals dedicatedly take active participation in the continuous process of improving our professional abilities, progressing in our careers, sharing information and resources, uniting as a community, setting standards for excellence, building our credibility in the world of media, and (best of all) are having fun.

 
Why this Association?

This is a club of professionals - a project of students of National Institute for Media Studies. This club consists of media professionals, students, consultants, and senior management. The club is meant for exchanging ideas, honing skills, holding workshops, and seminars, presentation of technical papers, providing a platform for employment, and networking. Its journal features happenings and news to major corporates. As always, media covers all themes relevant to New Age Media Industry in its widest sense – from interdisciplinary linguistic, social and cultural perspectives.

Activities which would be regularly undertake to benefit our association members would be:

 
Publishing of Quarterly Magazine “ Soups & coups “ which will contain:
Articles on the present trends and relevant topics of Media.
Interviews with prominent professionals of the field
Media-related happenings & events of the city
On available Job Vacancies in the field of Media
 
Holding of Bi-monthly seminars by inviting :
Prominent professional to speak on topics pertaining to current trends and issues affecting the media industry

The registered members would be able to contribute and share their views in newsletter
Will get the free subscription of newsletter regularly
Free entrance to all sessions and gathering of the Association
Free entrance to any workshop or seminars conducted by the Association with free materials distributed if any

Provides unlimited opportunities to learn new skills, share views and ideas with other members of Association, ask questions, and establish a support network for career development
Members will be informed and updated to any upcoming job vacancies related to media field.

This quarterly magazine delves into topics of concern in the industry, improves professional skills and provides industry news as well as career-development insights

It is a professional association helping communication consultants develop their knowledge, expand their businesses, and achieve high standards of professional practice
One of the main objectives of this Association is to provide a platform for scholars, educators, practitioners, students and learners with diverse perspectives and traditions of Media Industry
 
Eligibility

Students- Graduates or under-graduates, who shares interest in Media industry or would like to enter Media field in future.

Professional, consultants, working people with or without media background etc.

Scholars, educators, professors and experts.

Community of individuals interested in improving, using and learning communication skills for betterment.

 
Membership

Membership form is to be filled and submitted to NIMS.

Membership is for 12 months basis.

Membership is subject for annual renewal pertaining to the conditions applicable.

 
Annual Fees

Students – 150/-
Corporate – 2000/- 
Professionals and others – 450/-
Present Students of NIMS – Free for the 1 year.

* Fee is subject to change in future which would be updated to    members of Association before-hand. “Cheques or DD to be in the favor of “Institute for Media Studies”.
